User Definable Phrase Banks

eCareSide was designed by therapists with the user in mind. Care givers and Payers will appreciate the individuality of the documentation. Every patient is different adn eCareSide allows the therapist to document those unique clinical findings in their own words, rather than having the software

dicatate which phrases and treatments to use. Work the way you do, not the way the software does.

Double clicking in text boxes launches user definable Pop Up Lists. The Lists are specific to each text box and phrases can be added to "on-the-fly" creating additional personalization to the system.

Initial Evaluation, Daily Notes, Progress Reports and Discharge Summaries can be completed without the therapist ever touching a keyboard. Utilizing a recommended Tablet PC, the clinician can simply "tap" in their selections. In most cases the documentation is printed before the patient leaves the clinic. What use to take hours is reduced to minutes and done more accurately, resulting in fewer reimbursement denials.

To decrease the time spent entering often repeated words and phrases into the eCareSide system, we developed "Phrase Banks." There are 68 Phrase Banks in every high traffic area. Phrase Banks not only automate this time consuming and repetitive task but completely eliminates misspelling and "typos." A set of default phrases are loaded into the system upon installation. These default phrases can be dited or deleted and new Phrases can be added "on-the-fly." After creating your unique "Banks," you can rapidly input repetitious phrases without ever touching a keyboard.

Enhanced Help System

eCareSide has also added an improved search engine for the clinical Help Section. With the hundreds of special tests that therapists are required to perform everyday, it is not possible to remember every nuance of every test.

The Special Tests Help Section has been thoroughly researched to include all the major treatment areas. To better facilitate searching through hundreds of tests, eCareSide has built a

 

"Keyword Search" function.

In the example shown, the therapist is searching for a Drawer test to perform on his knee patient. Typing in "Drawer," the system searches for all tests that include the word "Drawer" in either the title or the text of the description of the test. Highlighting or clicking on the required test will present the user with a narrative on how the test is performed and, in some cases, the expected findings.

Narrative Builder

eCareSide expedites the time consuming creation of Subjective narratives by utilizing several pre-defined templates and popup data banks. Narratives are constructed by selecting the proper type (Surgical, Disease, Traumatic, Non-Traumatic Joint Specific, Work Injury, etc.) or, by combining types. The Narrative Builder form is launched with a custom constructed template along with a dynamic list of choices (data banks) for each section of the narrative. The user chooses as many Selections from the data bank as necessary (or may add new ones on the fly) to complete each section. If the user wishes to further comment or detail specific information outside the scope of the template, free form typing is available at the end of the Narrative.

Report Builder

One of the most powerful features of eCareSide is its Report Builder section. The system scans the data collected during the patient encounter, displays the sections completed in the adjacent form and allows the user to Select/Deselect which items appear in the printed reports.

All clinical reports are SOAP based and the Subjective and Objective sections allow this flexibility, while the Assessment and Plan sections are "auto-completed" from data captured during the patient encounter.

Medicare forms are designed to allow the clinician to select specific Goals as well. The report viewer shown here allows the report to be printed or exported in a variety of formats such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. The user may also email the report.
